Freelance Web Development Terms of Service
These terms apply to all web development and consulting services provided by Danny to the Client.
1. Scope of Work & Revisions
All work will be detailed in a formal Scope of Work (SOW) document or a written proposal agreed upon by both parties. Any work requested outside of the agreed scope will be considered a "revision" and may incur additional charges. Each project includes up to two (2) rounds of minor revisions unless otherwise specified.
2. Payment Terms
A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total estimated project cost is required before any work begins. The remaining 50% is due upon completion of the project, prior to the final delivery of the website or assets. Payments can be made via bank transfer or other agreed-upon methods.
3. Intellectual Property
Upon final payment, the Client is granted full ownership of the final, delivered website design and code. I retain the right to use the project in my portfolio and for self-promotional purposes. Any preliminary designs or concepts not chosen by the Client remain my intellectual property.
4. Confidentiality
I will not disclose any confidential information provided by the Client. Likewise, the Client agrees not to disclose any confidential information about my business processes or proprietary tools.
5. Termination
Either party may terminate the agreement with written notice if the other party breaches any material term. If the Client terminates the project, the initial deposit will not be refunded, and they will be billed for all work completed up to the date of termination.
6. Governing Law
This agreement shall be governed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which I reside.
